In 1967, the Executive Chairman of Hermès, Jean-Louis Dumas, asked a designer to create a bag for Hermès. The young woman, who was pregnant at the time, naturally named the bag after her new daughter, Constance. An urban bag with a quietly sporty spirit, it is a practical and casual bag for women with a confident stride.
A bag that is also timeless, the epitome of elegance in movement, a Constance is passed on from mother to daughter.
The H becomes a clever and functional clasp. It is opened and closed by means of a spring mechanism concealed on each side of the metal bar attached to the flap. Well-balanced and standing firmly on its two feet with an intersecting horizontal bar, this H-shaped clasp is homogenous and harmonious. Simple.
This hard-to-find Hermès Constance 23 is practical and fashionable. With minimalist lines, a slim shoulder strap and an oversized gem-like H clasp, the gleaming gold-plated buckle is stunning to match your jewellery with. Handmade from glossy black Box calfskin leather.
