The Brillant has been the most iconic Delvaux bag since 1958. Made for the World Expo that was held in Bruxelles, but stayed a well-beloved favourite for over 60 years.
This Brillant is inspired by the legendary 'la trahison des images' from René Magritte which was painted in 1928. Delvaux wanted to make a heart-warming tribute to one of Belgium's greatest artists. This is done by creating new designs that feature the work of Magritte in a fun and unique way.
The design emerges elegantly, in black with the contrasting white text, 'Ceci n'est pas un Delvaux'. It gives a feeling of almost transparent letters that have a reflective effect in the light. It gives the Brillant a new perspective on elegance and pure beauty.
